Ballast — template guide
Ballast is a website template for executive, leadership and career coaches who sell private programmes. It is built for designers and studios making sites for clients, and for coaches setting up their own.
Most projects take an afternoon: an hour to adapt the brand, the rest to fill in your client’s content.
1. Start here (5 minutes)
- Remix the template from the marketplace page. It copies the whole project into your workspace.
- Click Preview (▶ in the top bar) and browse the site once: Home, Writing, an article, Book, Privacy and 404.
- Send your client the questionnaire from section 2.
- Choose a plan when you publish. The site works on the Basic plan: it uses one CMS collection (Articles), so you still have one free collection on Basic.
2. What to collect from your client
Copy this list into an email or a form.
Practice
- Name and title as they want it shown (e.g. “Daniela Reyes, executive coach”)
- City, and whether they work in person, online or both
- The one line they’d like to be known for (it becomes the big hero headline, see section 6)
- 3–4 short facts: years of experience, what they did before coaching, how many clients, format
Who it’s for
- 4 situations people come to them with, each in a few words (“A bigger role than the title”) plus one sentence each
How they work
